Teenage Years

Challenging for some; a piece of cake for others.
One reality check to another;
A vicious cycle.
Making friends,
Giving up on them,
Been given up,
Betrayals,
Heartbreaks,
Enmity,
And this keeps going.
A cycle.
Vicious indeed.
Amidst this, on the other hand, there lies,
Optimism,
Love,
Gratitude
Warmth,
Happiness unraveled,
Tears of laughter, and
A mere feeling of being alive.
So, needn’t ever apologize for your feelings.
Believe in, ‘It is what it is’.
Deprive yourself of assumptions.
Eat what you like without looking at the calorie content.
Dress up extra when you feel like.
Go casual when you want to.
Take up the extra course you've been waiting to learn.
Capture pretty skies.
Watch the rain pour down from your terrace.
Take as many mirror selfies as you want.
After all, people are always ready to pass a judgement, but why take one?
These years aren't gonna pass by, again.
Start living for yourself.
Don't wait for the right moment.
Make it right, now.

luv it♥️
you have really put a lot of thought into this. this is very beautifully conceived and even nicely put. it Is extremely refreshing to have a positive upbeat analysis of the most complicated and underrated part of one’s life - the teenage and the way you touched upon the intricacies of it is exceptional.
